Happy New Year

As yet another year flies by, each more eventful than the last, he looks back on the year gone by.

When despondence threatens to surface as the images of mirth quickly descend into those of dejection, he consoles himself with the cliche of growth, that though maturity through experience is often bitter, it ultimately makes him better, stronger and just that little bit wiser.

With that, he forced a smile, closed his eyes and dreamt of a better year ahead.
