Bangkok (mis)Adventure Day 4
'And that is why you guys always get into trouble'
Today was supposed to our last day in Bangkok. With an early flight the next day, the plan for the day was to chill; MBK and some city sight-seeing in the day, tiger beer gallery (again) in the evening, and Champions League in the room at night.
MBK outside and inside
cheap fast food cuz we're all broke T_T
just say No .
After MBK, we decided to take a little walk around Bangkok city as the weather wasn't particularly punishing. Oh, and I liked the area's concept of interconnected overhead bridges for pedestian movement.
altho its so extreme that i think the Thais have a fetish for overhead bridges.
Siam Paragon
Actually we went to a lot more place but I can't remember the names. So anyways, it was off to Tiger Beer Galleries for beer for the 4th time in 4 days.
the best place in all of Bangkok
totally full even on a Tuesday night
and our favourite pork sausage (fug, is this a sign) dinner
our fav chiobu
Midway through our night at Translate, news was starting to filter through from family and friends that the PAD had taken over the airport, causing all flights in and out of Bangkok to be cancelled. And our reaction?
'CHEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!'
But for most part, we didn't really think that things would become as bad as they did, the general train of thought was that the worst case scenario was maybe a day's delay in our flight. I guess we're a little too used and pampered by the efficiency the Motherland. Or maybe we were just a tad naive. But no-one thought at that point of time that going home was gonna be a problem.
although juve and united did bore us a little.
And so, we packed our bags (oh, the irony) and went to sleep, totally unprepared for what was to happen tomorrow.
