The Seven Wonders of The World

I saw a similar story to the one below in the Newpaper today.

The first grade class assignment: to name the seven wonders of the world. Each student compiles a list, and shares their list, aloud, with the class. There is ardent interaction as the students call out entries from their lists: the Pyramids, the Empire State Building, the Amazon River, Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon, the Taj Mahal and the list goes on.

The teacher serves the role of cheer leader, "Class, these are great answers. Well done!"

One girl sits silent. She is asked about her list. She says, "I don't think I understand the assignment."

"Why?"

"I don't have any of the right answers," she tells the teacher.

"Well, why don't you tell us what you wrote on your paper, and we'll help you." the teacher encourages her.

"Okay," says the little girl, "I think the seven wonders of the world are. . .to see, to hear, to touch, to smell, to feel, to love, to belong."

Somewhere along the way, we have buried this little girl's wisdom.

Sweeeet...

But the little girl got it wrong as well. The seven wonders of the world are...

1. Killing Spree
2. Dominating
3. Mega-Kill
4. Unstoppable
5. Wicked Sick
6. Monster Kill
7. Godlike

Say you agree. =)

Sensitive and Cool

Once upon a time, in a quiet, tiny town, there lived Sensitive. Living next door was Sensitive's friend and neighbour, Cool.

Sensitive inherited many stones in his garden from the previous owner of his house. One day, Cool asked Sensitive if he could toss a stone over the separating walls of their respective gardens everytime Sensitive was in his garden. Considering it wasn't much of a hassle, Sensitive agreed, and started throwing a stone over the wall everytime he was at his garden.

Now the weird part was that everytime Sensitive tossed a stone over the wall, a crow would appear from nowhere and perch itself on Sensitive's roof. It stayed there for a few seconds, before disappearing as mysteriously as it had appeared.

This totally random occurance confused Sensitive, yet since the crow did not bother nor shite on his property, Sensitive continued tossing the stones over the wall.

One particular morning, the birds were chirping and the sun was high in the sky. 'What a wonderful day, the kind that makes you glad to be alive,' Sensitive thought, as he walked into his garden to water his plants. He was about carry out his ritual of tossing the stone when Cool appeared at his side of the garden. Curious about the crow, Sensitive asked;

'What's with the stones and the crow?'

'Don't question my motives. Just continue throwing the stones. Five seconds of your time, is it very difficult?'

Indignant by what he thought was a totally uncalled for sacastic reaction which shouldn't arise from someone asking for a favour, Sensitive mild-manneredly responded;

'Get a fucking life.'

'Don't pms me. Get your life sorted out first.' Cool replied. 'You like to be so sensitive so be it.'

Baffled by the completely incoherent response, Sensitive tried to get his point across to Cool. The simple point being, why the sacasm to someone whom was, honestly trying to figure out what the favour being asked of, was about.

Yet, Cool maintained his stand.

'Like I said, you're too sensitive.'

Of course the fact that Sensitive was in a perfect mood before this lovely conversation had no bearing on the conclusion. Cool's alway's right, even though he had a contingency booklet of 101 excuses when things seem against him.

Thus, finally realizing the error of his ways, Sensitive apologised.

'Sorry, it's all my fault, go fuck spider please'

And with that, Cool fell silent and retreated back into his house, another battle well won. 'How can I ever be wrong, how can anything ever be my fault,' he thought.

Moral of the story: When people ask you for a favour, just do it. Don't be a wanker, don't be sensitive. You owe it to them to put up with their sacasm while doing them their favours.

End of story**

Some Random-ness for the Day

A wedding I was at recently..

I like my expression in the picture.

Although it's poseur-ish, act cool and a carries a general 'wtf?' feeling, I like it anyway. That kinda explains why this pic's now on my msn and friendster.

Sadly, this is not an attempt at photo-whoring. This is completely random. I'm just trying to delay the inevitable trip back to my books by trying to give myself something to do.

Wasting My Life Away

Totally lacking the drive to study, though I'm constantly forcing myself to stare at my notes everyday.

Wasting time doing all sorts of unnecessary stuff everyday. And that was even before I bought FF12.

Suggestions anyone?

Ohhh, and by the way, new song! Did I mention that I like duets? I think this is a nice one. =)
