Aussie Trip Day 5

Lester and gang were due to fly back to Perth tonight, so the schedule was pretty heavily packed today. Nevertheless, we managed to squeeze in a trip to Melbourne Aquarium as well as a football session at Melbourne University!

Ky makes a quick escape after a night of passion with Kerk

Along the way, we had to make an unexpected pitstop at the docklands because Ky and I had to check clear.

the docklands

and the Telstra Dome

and finally outside Melbourne Aquarium

Entry was about $26, but thanks to Carene's exceptional skills, we managed to get in for just under $13!

confirm fucking nice to eat

Inside, the angmohs were probably thinking something like 'bloody chinese, they eat anything' because we were pretty much wondering how nice every crab/lobster/prawn would be to eat while we were on the first floor (fug, i typed blood instead of floor initially. wtf. Am i playing too much dota?).

Omg, mermaids?! NAHZ! =P

kerk's relative caught on film for the first time

But overall, I found the aquarium was pretty dull until...

Georgie, the mafia-faced shark

How can any one name a creature with a face like that a 'Nurse' shark? The Nurse Shark's looked so aggro that it was kinda amusing. So imagine my disappointment when I read on the board that the Nurse Shark was not a man-eater/attacker.

Georgie must have sensed my disappointment when he decided to bite the diver head during the feeding session. Just when the commentator was saying the 30cm turtle was the most dangerous creature during the feeding session because it tended to bite the diver. Bloody ironic.

The next few moments were chaotic, with the unforunate diver trying to break free, the commentator trying to fabricate some story on how sharks were nice creatures and this was an extremely rare occurance, Georgie's teeth stuck in the webbing of the diver's helmet, and the other diver trying desperately to unhook the webbing from Georgie's teeth. Fucking class. Made the $13 bucks all worth it. My only remaining disappointment was that I couldn't get a picture off. Damn!

leaving the aquarium

Then it was off to Melbourne University for /S' first overseas friendly gainst Melbourne Uni Malaysians! There're no pictures because everyone was playing and the girls went off to take pictures of the campus, but with All Stars' inspirational captain making an appearance, the result was never in doubt as /S truimped 4-1!

random sights in Melbourne

The end of the game also marked the end of Lester and gang's holidays. It was so much fun spending time with them, but all good things have to end. But it was only the halfway mark for Kerk, Ky and me!

Headed to Camberwell to meet April and Lingwu for dinner

and they strongly recommended Sofia for its huge helpings

which was dam huge indeed

in the end, 6 of us couldn't finish a serving for 2-3 but it was still an experience!

Then, it was back to the hotel for a good night's rest because the next day, it was gonna be a long drive to the Great Ocean Road! Stay tuned! =)
