Being Teochew

I always felt that being Teochew, caused me to speak Hokkien in abnormally high pitches. I had to work kinda hard before I could speak proper Hokkien with my estate friends when I was young...

But over the last week, I've had discounts on cabs twice because the cabbies were Teochew, and I guess they kinda felt a bond when I spoke it to them...

So, I guess being Teochew owns after all! HAha... After all, so many people can speak Hokkien but how many can speak proper Teochew?
